One of the cool things about working on collaborative open-source projects like ourmedia is the time spent meeting really smart, talented, committed people.
And so it was last night when 20 or so people showed up for a microcontent dinner organized by Marc Canter at the Hunan restaurant in San Francisco. We talked about ourmedia and Marc’s push to create open standards for open reviews, FOAF for social networking, and other techie stuff.
I didn’t catch everyone’s last names, but on hand were Michael Rowehl, Jeff Clavier, David, Tony Gentile, John, Annie, Kavil (sp?), Daniel Gould, Grig Bilham and Max from Laszlo, Eleanor from NEC, Eric Rice, Bill, Roy and Peter Hirshberg. Quite an amazing group, several of whom have already emailed me this morning offering to help with ourmedia.
We do need additional assistance with programming and UI, so if you’ve got a bit of bandwidth, let me know and I’ll invite you into the wiki.
