I just uploaded three photos from our trip to New York last week. The trip also took me to Middlebury, Vermont, where I gave a presentation to a tech-savvy group of educators about Darknet and ourmedia (but didn’t take any photos).
It was great to see the relatives (Tory, Ed, Mary Kay, Jessica, Byron, Carol) in New Jersey as well as to spend some time in Manhattan. It was our 5-year-old’s first time in New York, and we made the most of it, taking in the mummy exhibit at the Met, the carousel in Central Park, and The Lion King (his first play happened to be a Broadway show). After I’ve been in California for 20 years, Joisey takes some getting used to (such as no self-service gas stations and no beer or wine sold in supermarkets), and the city is as frenetic as ever.
We were glad to return home … until we walked in the door. More in a moment.
